Redefining Farming in Northeast India
Arihan Enterprise is the parent company behind the Mushmasti.com platform. This Guwahati-based partnership firm is on a mission to redefine farming in Northeast India through mushroom cultivation and value addition.
Since its inception in 2014, Arihan Enterprise, along with its sister concern Sewabikash Foundation (a Section 8 company), has trained over 10,000 farmers across the region — creating a ripple effect of sustainable agriculture and women empowerment.
Rising to the Challenge of COVID-19
Starting small, our team faced a turning point during the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted connections with cultivators across Northeast India. Rising to the challenge, we established a new model firm in Guwahati and shifted focus to sustainability and product diversification.
We realised that solely depending on raw products wouldn't ensure longevity. That's why we ventured into food processing and value addition, and started our dream project “Mushmasti.com” — so that, from now onward, people from the North Eastern region will no longer need to depend on outsiders for healthy and nutritious foods, especially mushroom. We bring it to your doorstep.

Arihan Enterprise Founded
Began our mission in Guwahati, specialising in mushroom farming and value addition, alongside sister concern Sewabikash Foundation.
A New Model Firm
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted cultivator connections across Northeast India. We rebuilt with a new model firm and a sharper focus on sustainability and product diversification.
First Prize, Agri-Horti Show
Arihan Enterprise won first prize for raw mushroom cultivation at the Agri-Horti Show organised by the Horticulture and Food Processing Department, Assam.
National Recognition
Founder Anuj Kumar Saikia honoured as “Progressive Mushroom Grower 2024” by the Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan. Co-Founder Kanaklata Das named among the Top 50 Women Entrepreneurs at the Tejaswini Assam Ideathon.

Our dream project brings farm-fresh mushrooms and handcrafted, value-added mushroom foods directly to homes across the region, built on a robust supply chain of over 1,000 cultivators.

The enterprise now boasts a lineup of innovative products, including king chilli and mushroom pickles, pineapple and tamarind mushroom chutneys, and a unique mushroom dry powder — rich in nutrients, used not just in cooking but also in skincare, as an anti-ageing remedy.

A Platform for Inclusive Empowerment
What sets Arihan apart is its focus on empowering women. Eighty per cent of our trainees are women. Mushroom farming is ideal for women as it requires just two hours of daily attention and can be done four times a year.
Today, the organisation works with over 1,000 cultivators, creating a robust supply chain that stretches across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh — training women in mushroom cultivation and value addition as a sustainable source of livelihood.
